Casino Wire

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Election Day will determine whether an MGM Casino will be built at National Harbor, but that doesn't stop the developer from talking up the Las Vegas-style venture. If previous MGM projects are any indication, Prince George's County could see a variety of restaurants catering to gamblers and non-gamblers alike, including steakhouses, 600-seat buffets, sports bars and night clubs. An analyst predicts MGM might bring in a "name from New York, a well-reviewed chef" to brand one of the restaurants if the casino moves forward. [WaPo]
