Wisdom's Seasonal and Festive Eater Week Cocktail

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Throughout Cocktail Week 2012, we'll have several of the area's favorite cocktail destinations whipping up special concoctions devoted to Eater readers. All you have to do is head over to the bar and ask for the specific cocktail. Next up: the Ginger Cranberry Smash over at Wisdom.

The drink contains Plymouth gin, Domaine de Canton, white cranberry juice, lemon juice, cranberries and soda water. Adam Schreck of Wisdom tells us he was trying to split the difference between Thanksgiving and Christmas with the drink.

"Cranberries are a natural choice for a seasonal fruit but they're also extremely tart. To balance that acidity, I needed something sweet connoting holiday spices--that's when Domain De Canton came to mind," he said. "Domain de Canton is a French liqueur with primary notes of ginger, but rounded out with a bunch of other good stuff that gives it some depth. I also added some white cranberry juice for a hint of sweetness." You can find the drink all week at Wisdom for $11.
