Westend Bistro by Eric Ripert will soon just be Westend Bistro. The Le Bernadin chef is taking his name off the restaurant within the West End Ritz-Carlton come Jan. 1. Ripert tells Tom Sietsema he's doing so in order to concentrate on new projects, and it doesn't sound like those projects have anything to do with DC. Meanwhile, new chef Devin Bozkaya's cooking has been well-received since he took over. [WaPo]
