REGULATIONS— The Food Truck Association did a survey to see how many food trucks would be affected by new proposed regulations that require at least 10 feet of unobstructed sidewalk be available in order for the food truck to serve customers. The survey found eight out of 10 of the city's most popular truck locations, including Chinatown and Franklin Square, wouldn't work under the new rule. [EaterWire]

Meanwhile, the owners of three trucks send Prince of Petworth an open letter on why they oppose the regulations. [PoP]

NEW TRUCKS— A new dumpling truck is headed to town. Yumpling will serve a whole variety of dumplings, from Middle Eastern to Asian styles, once they launch in DC, according to Food Truck Fiesta. [FTF]

FOOD TRUCK REVIEWS— For its "Keep on Truckin" Feature, Brightest Young Things takes a visit to DC Empanadas. The author enjoys the pastries with wacky names like "Speedy Gonzales" and "Karate Kid", as well as accents such as homemade whoopie pies and Cheerwine. [BYT]
