Is PS 7's Restaurant Closing its Doors?

Is Penn Quarter restaurant PS 7's Restaurant closing? Dining Bisnow has a report stating as much. The publication does not name the source for the information. It says that chef Peter Smith declined to comment and says the restaurant will close at month's end.

A restaurant manager at PS 7's told Eater that he had no knowledge of a potential closing. Chef/Owner Peter Smith, when reached by phone, declined to speak in detail about the situation, but said, "Right now, there's nothing to talk about...I don't know how Bisnow would have any knowledge of the inner workings of the restaurant."

PS7's opened in 2006 at 777 I St. NW. It had a reputation both for its modern American cuisine and for its cocktail program, which got particular attention under mixologist Gina Chersevani, who left the restaurant in February and now works at Hank's on the Hill.

Update: It appears the Bisnow post has since been taken down.
