"WHO COMING TO @918FSTREET TONIGHT?" That's Biz Markie on Twitter, trying to drum up excitement for his Living Social Cooking Class. That's right, the rapper has partnered with LivingSocial's F Street facility tonight to teach a healthy cooking class. For $79 (or $99 for VIPS), those who signed up for the deal will get to learn how to make chicken satay and stir fry with the hip-hop star.
The class sold out, with 88 people buying the deal. A second class is happening in January. LivingSocial has had some business woes recently, including layoffs. Washington Business Journal tech reporter Bill Flook predicts this is not the last offbeat class that DC sees from the firm. "I predict LivingSocial is about to get weird," he says.
