Looks like that Want Ad did some good. Pizza-maker Edan MacQuaid has landed on his feet — he's now making pies at Bryan Voltaggio's Range restaurant. An Eater writer spotted the cook at the restaurant over the weekend and confirmed the move.
MacQuaid has a long resume in the DC pizza world, with stints at such places as 2Amys and Pizzeria Orso. He had planned to open up his own place on 14th Street, but the funding didn't work out.
Pizza is one of many menu components at the expansive Range restaurant, officially opening this week. The restaurant has a wood-fired oven, raw bar, in-house bakery, and more, and a long list of talented folks employed there, from bartender Owen Thomson to charcuterie maker Julien Shapiro.
