Here's an interesting tidbit, courtesy of the folks over at Eater Philly. Chef Christopher Lee has plans for several new restaurants in Philadelphia, including Chef Christopher Lee at 1623 and Sophia's. But what about after that? The next city on the former Striped Bass chef's radar is Washington. From Grub Street:
He added that he has a third concept in mind for the Philly market following his Striped Bass-ish restaurant, but didn't elaborate much. After that, he said he wants to focus on bringing several more restaurants to Washington D.C.
Eater has reached out to reps for Lee to find out any additional details about his DC projects. The chef owns Huntington Social in New York and launched Iki Sake in February.
Update: A spokeswoman for Lee offers a noncommittal response, via email: "Chef Lee looks forward to expanding his restaurant concepts to more cities in the future, of which Washington DC is a possibility, however a definite timeline has not been established."
