Bachelor Pad alumn Chris Bukowski is moving forward with his ladies-style sports bar in Clarendon, but it will have to be without the help of Cava Mezze chef Dimitri Moshovitis. Cave Mezze Group's Ted Xenohristos informed Eater via email that Moshovitis and Cava Mezze Group aren't involved in the project going forward:
We were discussing with their team about consulting, and in the end it was a mutual agreement not to move forward.
The original plan back in September as reported by Eater was for Moshovitis and the team from Sugo Cicchetti and Cava Mezze to help Bukowski develop the menu, hire a chef, and aid in the permitting process to get the sports bar off the ground. But that's no longer the case. "I just wanted to be clear we were never able to come to an agreement and were never officially on board," Xenohristos said.
In November, Spike Mendelsohn's spokeswoman refuted rumors that the Good Stuff Eatery chef would head up the kitchen for the project.
And in other Chris Bukowski news, the man himself took calls from fans this week about what to name his restaurant and narrowed the field to "ChangeUp" or "Bracket Room." —Adele Chapin
