Spain-based restaurant group La Tagliatella is just getting started in the U.S., but has already signed two leases in the DC market.
Word of the second came today: the restaurant will open at The Promenade at Virginia Gateway, a huge development in Gainesville that features a movie theater and a bunch of retail and restaurants. The Italian restaurant will open in fall of 2013, according to developer The Peterson Companies: it joins already previously-announced restaurants for the project, including Nando's Peri-Peri, Bar Louie and Pinkberry.
Meanwhile, the European restaurant chain already announced that it will fill the former Restaurant 3 space in Clarendon. That opening is expected early next year. The first U.S. restaurant is slated for Atlanta. The restaurant is known for its expansive menu and big portions.
