La Strada Closing in Del Ray By Year's End

Del Ray Italian restaurant La Strada will close its doors by the end of the year. From the restaurant's Facebook page:

It is with a VERY sad heart that we have to inform you that La Strada will be closing for good December 31st. We have just told our wonderful employees that have been with us for 4 1/2 years, they have been like family to us. We hope all of you will come in to see us and enjoy La Strada one last time by December 31st. Make you New Years Eve plans now to go out with a BANG with us!

The restaurant specialized in rustic Italian food and served many dishes family-style. No word yet on what may fill the space, located at 1905 Mount Vernon Ave.
