Free Cake at Brabo; L'Enfant Cafe Launches Speak Easy

OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA—Sunday marks Brabo's third birthday in Old Town Alexandria and in celebration the restaurant is offering a free piece of birthday cake or a free dessert to any guest. A press release also notes that the restaurant has a Sunday night happy hour with half-price dishes from their bar menu, $5 glasses of wine and a mussels-frites-white wine deal for $15. [EaterWire]

ADAMS MORGAN—The folks over at L'Enfant Café & Bar send word that this weekend is the official launch of their new supper club and cabaret, Speak Easy. What does that mean? Well, a three-course dinner, drinks and a live performance. This Sunday will kick off with a Valentine's Day comedic performance from Flotilla DeBarge, which will include a "not-so-newlywed game" for the audience. Reservations cost $50 per person for the dinner show that runs from 7-10 p.m. [EaterWire]

ATLAS DISTRICT—Also happening at 7 p.m. on Sunday is an Iron Chef Sushi Masters competition over at Sticky Rice. Chefs from all of the restaurant's locations will go head-to-head and eventually head to Richmond to find out which one of them is actually the very best Sticky Rice sushi chef. Judges will be Erik Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground and Will Morris of Brasserie Beck. There will also be door prizes and specials. [EaterWire]

DUPONT CIRCLE—As for your Sunday brunch plans, this weekend The Mansion on O Street launches a soul food brunch that will be held every second Sunday of the month from 12 to 2 p.m. Per a release, there will be an omelet/crepe/waffle bar, pulled BBQ pork, catfish, collard greens and more for $65 per person. MCPHERSON SQUARE—Oh hey, it's another new brunch: Lincoln is also offering a special Sunday brunch this weekend in honor of Abraham Lincoln's birthday.
