We've known for some time that Michel Richard was hiring staff for three concepts at the forthcoming Revel resort in Atlantic City and now it's official. The resort announced this morning that Richard is joining their increasingly impressive roster of restaurateurs that includes the likes of Marc Forgione, Alain Allegretti, Jose Garces and DC's own Robert Wiedmaier. Richard will be opening up another offshoot of Central with a familiar menu of his lobster burger and 72-hour short ribs, plus two entirely new concepts named O Bistro and Wine Bar and The Breakfast Room.
Per a release, the O Bistro — a name inspired by its Atlantic Ocean view and the French words for "water" and "to" — "will feature small plates, such as sliders, gratins, crab cakes potato chip nachos and chicken wings; and main dishes such as lobster rolls, brandade of crab, skate meuniere, and herb crusted roasted chicken." It'll have a circular bar and "trendy cocktails." Meanwhile, The Breakfast Room will feature both a la carte and grab-and-go breakfast foods like French toast crème brule, Belgian waffles, and croissants. As Richard puts it in the video that accompanied the announcement: "Can you believe it? The first time in my life I'm going to be able to serve food to ladies in bikinis."
