There was much excitement back in October when it was revealed that Mark Furstenberg — of Breadline and Marvelous Market — was opening a bakery named Bread Furst in Dupont Circle. Now here's the Post to burst your bubble: Tim Carman reports this afternoon that lease negotiations fell through on the space. The baker is apparently leaning toward a partnership rather than running his own place, telling Carman: "I’ve gotten too old to care about running things. I just want to bake bread and make desserts." [WaPo]
