The former Top Chef contestant and chef/owner of Volt in Frederick traveled to Annapolis yesterday to testify before a Maryland House of Delegates subcommittee on behalf of Maryland Meals for Achievement, a program that offers free (and healthy) breakfasts to schoolchildren. Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley has proposed raising the program's budget — a proposal that's officially Voltaggio-endorsed. [WTOP]
