Police chief Cathy Lanier forced U Street's Tabaq Bistro to shutter this weekend after a stabbing took place there early Saturday morning. Borderstan reports that a woman "was stabbed several times in the leg" at the lounge — and that an ongoing investigation has determined that the restaurant's staff failed to call ABRA or the police department regarding the incident. There's no word about the victim's current condition, but an employee who answered the phone at the restaurant expects to reopen at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
