The Washingtonian reported this morning that the man who was arrested earlier this month for a terrorist plot had at one point considered two DC restaurants for the site of the attack. Apparently, he had first considered power-lunch favorite Bistro Bis on the Hill and then reconsidered in favor of Aria, the Italian restaurant at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center. Of course, these aren't the first DC restaurants to be targeted for terrorism — just last fall there were reports that Café Milano was perhaps a target, too. [The Washingtonian]
