Daikaya is taking its sweet time to open in Chinatown, which led to some hand-wringing this morning that maybe it'll never happen. But the developers rush to reassure that the restaurant — a ramen shop/izakaya from Sushiko owner Daisuke Utagawa with former ThinkFoodGroup chef Katsuya Fukushima helming the kitchen — is still a go. The new target is late spring/early summer of this year, slightly pushed back from the previous February projection. [PoP]
