Top-Grossing Nightclubs; Seasons Reopened This Week

NIGHTLIFEA list of the top-grossing nightclubs in the country was released today and wouldn't you know it that DC has three clubs that made the cut. The only local club to crack the top 50, though, was POV (#44) with a reported gross of $10-$15 million in 2011. The other two clubs on the list are Love (#63) and The Park at Fourteenth (#85), both grossing $5-$10 in 2011. [Nightclub.com via Eater National]

STAFF SHUFFLES—While John Shields and Karen Urie Shields are only toying with the idea of coming to DC now that they've left Town House, the Chilhowie restaurant's former sommelier has committed: Tom Sietsema tweets an update that Charlie Berg is now working at Bourbon Steak. [Twitter]

REOPENING REPORT—Speaking of Bourbon Steak, the Washingtonian notes that the other Four Seasons Georgetown restaurant Seasons has reopened this week, much to the delight of the power breakfasting crowd. The restaurant underwent a million-dollar remodel that involves "banquettes, wool carpeting, and a small 'living-room' area for guests looking for a quick coffee before heading out." [Washingtonian]

BLACK TUESDAY—Just in time for Valentine's Day, Co Co Sala has teamed up with Spike Mendelsohn to create custom chocolates. DCist reports that these chocolates are inspired by the milkshakes at Good Stuff Eatery — so the toasted marshmallow, the milky way malt and the strawberry soursop hop. [DCist]
