The Washingtonian checks in on The Pig, which is slated to open up on 14th Street in mid-April. While the restaurant heralded things like "nose-to-tail" and "farm-to-table" when it was first announced back in August, owner David Winer now says they recognized that was a little cliche. The new catchphrase is "handmade food and drink." They'll still be offering those off-cuts they talked about, but chef Garret Fleming emphasizes there will be vegetarian options. [The Washingtonian]
