1) Petworth: The much-anticipated Three Little Pigs opened this morning offering its charcuterie and salumi to the Petworth neighborhood. As has been noted, the menu will include various kinds of sandwiches, pancetta, duck confit, pork stock, chorizo, bacon and much more available in the shop. There's also going to be a catering component and build-your-own charcuterie boards. The City Paper has a nice video tour of the space, plus a little bit about their smoked meats platter and the background of the owners, who recently graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. 2) Navy Yard: Sure, we've got plenty of Potbelly locations in the DC area — 45 to be exact, as of the sandwich shop's opening today in the Navy Yard. Potbelly opened this morning below the Yards Foundry Lofts, where it will be serving its sandwiches, soups and shakes from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily — and offering delivery on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is all part of that bonanza of restaurants announced for The Yards last summer.
