DC BRAS at The Passenger; Stage Burger Lounge Opens

MT VERNON SQUARE—On Sunday evening, the Passenger hosts a special benefit event launching the DC chapter of Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails, the goal of which is "to elevate drinks and drinking by looking backwards to the recipes and traditions of America’s greatest invention, the cocktail." Their events raise money for breast cancer research and Sunday's event will see drinks on special, DC Brau and a 6.6 gallon pisco sour beginning at 4 p.m. [EaterWire]

WEBSITE OF THE DAY—Everyone, please welcome pastry chef Tiffany MacIsaac to the blogging fold — her new website Open Kitchen launched today featuring recipes and musings and, of course, links to all the Neighborhood Restaurant group restaurants where she serves as pastry chef. SILVER SPRING—Well, that was a damn fast turnaround. Owner Spiro Gioldasis only finalized plans for his latest restaurant, oh, last week, and already Stage Burger Lounge officially opened to the public today at 5 p.m. Take a look at the burger menu, which sports a list of musically inspired creations like the El Scorcho, Pepper Jack Flash, Mushaboom and Pumped Up Kids burger for kids.
