Next week, New York butcher and meat purveyor Pat LaFrieda is teaming up with TV guy (and former Man vs Food host) Adam Richman for an event dubbed "Around the Cow in 80 Ways" featuring, what else, LaFrieda beef. They're coming out in support of the Armed Forces Foundation, which offers assistance to active-duty and retired military personnel and their families — funds raised from the $200-a-head three-course lunch and carving demo will go to support the non-profit organization.
Here's the deal: On March 27 at 1 p.m., LaFrieda will be bringing three cuts of beef — skirt steak, strip steak and brisket — to the Occidental, where Richman will demonstrate how to prepare them. Then everyone eats the meat in three courses, drinks some wine and goes back to work or whatever. Also: free autographed aprons. Tickets are available online and there are 80 seats available.
