caphe-banh-mi-100.jpgTom Sietsema visits Alexandria's Caphe Banh Mi for this week's First Bite column and while he compliments the design of the space, the food is not so lucky: "Summer rolls are packed with shrimp, vermicelli and lettuce but not much flavor. Pho comes with a minimal amount of the shaved beef we request, and its demure broth requires every accompanying enhancer - lime, jalapeno, Thai basil - to inject more spirit into the bowl." [WaPo]
