Kicking off this week of important restaurant reopenings, neighborhood favorite Bar Pilar reopened to the public last weekend with its brand new second floor dining room, expanded menus and entree-sized dishes in addition to small plates. For those who haven't made it in yet, here's a look inside the new Bar Pilar and its Hemingway-inspired murals, cherry wood tables from chef Justin Bittner's father's forest in Pennsylvania and twice the amount of seating as before the renovations.
As for the menu, per a release, they're keeping favorites like the pork shoulder and crispy potatoes, but adding dishes such as Catalan-style snails, fried pig ears, suckling pig and roasted pheasant. The six-seat bar on the second floor will also offer a list that's 25 cocktails deep.
