Well, here's one way to sell your business: the Capital City Diner announced on Twitter that the diner itself is now available for bidding on eBay. Why eBay? Well, the very detailed listing posted by owner Matt Ashburn explains that local restaurateurs haven't exactly been making grabs for the diner since its sad shutter about a month back. So now they're casting the net a little wider:
"In Washington, DC, the city recently recruited a national chain breakfast restaurant to open nearby, resulting in decreased sales and we unfortunately couldn't keep the diner going. While we've tried to find a local buyer to take it over, it's been a challenge, so we're putting this up on eBay. We'd like to sell this to someone interested in preseving the diner, and it can be moved to anywhere you desire..."
The current bid is $20,000, so if you've got a burning desire for a 1947 Silk City Diner model, now is your big chance.
