Today, Sweetgreen has officially announced the musical lineup for the Sweetlife Food and Music Festival 2012, to be held this year on April 28. Headlining this year's festival will be Avicii, Kid Cudi, The Shins, and a number of other bands. Several to-be-announced "favorite new artists" will play in The Treehouse. As with last year, it's likely the concession stands will feature Sweetgreen's frozen yogurt and salads, plus goods from local farmers and chefs.
This year's Sweetlife Festival is to be held once again at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Tickets go on pre-sale tomorrow and then open up for general sale on March 9. They'll cost a bit more than last year's festival: $75 for general admission and $125 for VIP.
The lineup:
Avicii
Kid Cudi
The Shins
Explosions in the Sky
Fitz and the Tantrums
A$AP Rocky
Fun.
UPDATE: And now a press release shares a little more information about what's in store food-wise for the event. For starters, Rogue 24 chef/owner RJ Cooper will be there with "special food and drink offerings" for those with VIP tickets. Also, they're partnering with Serious Eats to create a "Food Forest" featuring José Andrés' food truck Pepe, Shake Shack, Roberta's Pizza and Smucker Farms. The Sweetlife Festival will also be raising money for the DC Central Kitchen. More details soon!
