PENN QUARTER—This weekend marks Hill Country's one-year anniversary in Penn Quarter and of course the restaurant is going to celebrate. On Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. they'll be offering their full menu plus specials that include guajillo and garlic rubbed lamb chops with red eye gravy and cheddar cheese grits. There will also be free birthday cupcakes and a no-cover performance from the Dixie Power Trio down in the Boot Bar. [EaterWire]
OLD TOWN—Chef Cathal Armstrong is the Grand Marshal of this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade and so naturally he's doing some special things at his restaurants this year. Indeed, Restaurant Eve will be offering a special lunch menu all week. The three-course $35 prix-fixe menu includes smoked mackerel salad, a corned beef sandwich and a Guinness and Treacle cake, all paired with a St. Patrick's Whey cocktail from mixologist Todd Thrasher. The menu is available in the bistro for lunch as of Monday. [EaterWire]
CLARENDON—On Sunday, Restaurant 3 launches a new weekly event, Local Oyster Happy Hours. They'll be bringing in oysters from the Chesapeake Bay and Rappahannock River and serving them in forms such as oyster shooters, oysters on the half shell, fried oyster sliders and more. This all gets down at 5 p.m. on Sundays from here on out. [EaterWire]
SHAW—Soon-to-open restaurant Bistro Bohem is hosting an event tonight for their Facebook and Twitter followers and, according to Prince of Petworth, will open next week on Florida Avenue. Oh, and they're already planning to expand into the space next door. [PoP]
