Shaw's Tavern Gets Liquor License; David Guas on TV

SHAW—Great news, people of Shaw: the long-awaited liquor license has finally arrived for Shaw's Tavern. Stay tuned as general manager Reza Akhavan tells Eater they should set a date within the next couple of days as to when they're going to get the restaurant fully open. [Twitter]

FOOD TV—Here's an alert to set those DVRs: Bayou Bakery owner David Guas is set to appear on the Food Network's Chopped tonight at 10 p.m. He'll also be making an appearance on the Cooking Channel's Unique Sweets on April 22 at 10:30 p.m. [EaterWire]
