Yesterday we learned that Hank's Oyster Bar owner Jamie Leeds is teaming up with mixologist Gina Chersevani on a third location of the seafood restaurant bound for Capitol Hill. Now, the folks from Hank's send over some details that reveal a lot more about what's in store for this latest expansion — which aims to open in June.
First of all, Chersevani will be in charge of a 20-seat bar within the restaurant named Eddy Bar, where she'll be mixing up drinks like the Deadliest Catch, made with mezcal, rye, salt water taffy foam. As for the restaurant itself, the Capitol Hill location will have 40 seats and offer a menu similar to what you might find at the other Hank's locations in Dupont Circle and Old Town Alexandria. So, think a raw bar, lobster rolls, short ribs, fried oysters and the Meat and Two special.
Edit will be responsible for the design of the new restaurant — noted, this is the same team that designed for previous tenant Ba Bay as well as a lot of other popular local restaurants. Hank's Oyster Bar will open for dinner service daily and Eddy Bar will remain open until midnight each night.
