Is Richard Sandoval Opening Another Restaurant in DC?

Earlier today, Prince of Petworth reported a rumor that restaurateur Richard Sandoval — the man behind Masa 14, El Centro and Zengo — was looking to take over a space in Shaw for a new project, this time a Peruvian restaurant destined for Florida Avenue. Well, that would certainly be interesting.

So what's the deal there? Eater reached out to a rep for Sandoval, who confirmed the restaurateur does indeed have another project in the works for DC. That said, there are no details yet to confirm: no address, nothing on the Peruvian cuisine rumor, nothing. Just a project. In DC. Anyway, more details as they're available.
