Georgetown's French Market Returns; Cheap Eats in DC

GEORGETOWN—The annual French Market returns to Georgetown tomorrow and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. Cafe Bonaparte will be offering 50 percent off sweet crepes, Patisserie Poupon is grilling merguez sandwiches, Book Hill Bistro is having a barbecue and Bacchus Wine Cellar is offering 15 percent off all wines. CHEAP EATS—In Todd Kliman's online chat earlier this week, the critic asked readers for their favorite cheap eats across the region. The Washingtonian has kindly compiled these into a handy post highlighting deals from Song Que to Restaurant Eve. [Washingtonian]

OPENING REPORT—Prince of Petworth reports that Georgetown Falafel & Koshary has opened next door to Zara in Georgetown with a menu of pitas and, of course, variations of the Egyptian dish koshary. There's a nice interior shot, too. [PoP]
