Green Pig Bistro officially opens its doors to the public tonight in Clarendon, bringing chef Scot Harlan's nose-to-tail cuts and French cooking — the chef's first go as executive chef after serving as pastry chef in kitchens such as 2941 and Inox. His menu here includes fried pimento cheese, fries topped with duck liver gravy and curds, duck confit and pork shank with grits and greens. There will also be plats du jour from fish 'n' chips to fried chicken.
The restaurant offers communal tables in both the bar and the dining room and pages from Harlan's collection of food-related books serve as wall decoration. Not to mention the Le Creuset collection.
