It seems things are moving right along for the gastropub that former Brasserie Beck beer sommelier Thor Cheston has been hoping to open in Shaw. The Washington Post learns that he has a location currently in lease negotiations and plans to name it Right, Proper Brewpub — perhaps opening in late spring of next year. But first, as has been noted, Cheston is collecting signatures to persuade the DC Council to allow growler sales. [WaPo]
