1) Tenleytown: An Eater operative catches some opening signage for Tanad Thai in the old 4912 Thai space on Wisconsin Avenue. New owner Tanad Barambe tells Eater that they opened their doors last week and while the management might be new, they've held onto 4912's chef and are offering essentially the same menu as the former neighborhood favorite, with perhaps two or three menu changes. Status: Certified open. 4912 Wisconsin Avenue, NW; website
2) West End: A new lunchtime option open as of today on 23rd Street in the form of Orange Spoon, selling sandwiches, breakfast items and a hot buffet bar. An employee tells Eater their hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. Status: Certified open. 1255 23rd Street NW.
3) Pleasant Plains: Prince of Petworth hears word that a new Ethiopian restaurant by the name of Kokeb has opened its doors on Georgia Avenue. Though they're still pulling together the menu, the restaurant is indeed serving. Status: Certified open. 3013A Georgia Ave NW.
