Boozy Beer Floats at Et Voila; Cornhole at Jackson 20

PALISADES—To celebrate May or beer or ice cream or something, Et Voila has unveiled a menu of beer floats riffing on the old classic root beer floats. Except with real beer. All month long, they'll be offering up concoctions such as Hoegaarden ice cream with Kasteel Rouge beer or Lindemans Peche Lambic matched with peach ice cream and a Sichuan pepper. All beer floats are $10. [EaterWire]

ALEXANDRIA—Over at Jackson 20, tomorrow is the first day of their cornhole tournament. Yes, cornhole tournament. Games will be held on May 2, 16 and 30 from 6-9 p.m. in a March Madness-style single elimination. Entrance fees are $5 per team and food and drinks will be happy hour prices during games. Chef Brian McPherson will also be providing corn dogs for $2 apiece because what else would you eat while playing cornhole? Winners get gift certificates to the restaurant. [EaterWire]

OBAMA ENDORSED—The Reliable Source reports a Michelle Obama sighting at the Four Seasons in Georgetown before the White House Correspondents' Dinner. She had brunch with two other women and apparently Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet was in the restaurant as well. [WaPo]
