Welcome and step inside this photo gallery of Mt. Vernon Square's forthcoming Tel'veh Café & Wine Bar, coming to you on Monday from the guys behind Agora in Dupont Circle. The two spots share the same owner as well as chef Ghassan Jarrouj, who has prepared yet another Mediterranean-influenced menu with dishes such as roasted lamb and a prosciutto sandwich with fresh mozzarella and fig jam. They will be serving three meals a day — with breakfast sandwiches and more for that first one — and a whole ton of wine. There will be about 300 wines by the bottle, around 50 by the glass and a fancy Vinotemp wine dispenser.
The design is meant to evoke a nautical feel — note those ropelines above the bar, wood beams and blue accents. There are 12 seats at the bar and, in warmer weather, there will be sidewalk seating.
