Hey, remember when Michael Landrum closed Ray's Hell Burger Too out in Rosslyn and replaced it with a steak-and-cheese restaurant named Steak and Cheese? And then that closed after a month, reverting back to Ray's Hell Burger Too? Well, Washingtonian critic Todd Kliman reported last night that Landrum is once again doing a steak-and-cheese concept in the space this time named, wait for it, Nice 'n' Greasy, Steak 'n' Cheesy.
The restaurateur tells Kliman that this is more an act of editing rather than caprice, explaining that he learned from past mistakes and this time will offer a smaller and cheaper steak and cheese sandwich — with the option of doubling its size — plus burgers by the bag. The spot should open on Monday and, wonder of wonders, might even have a sign out front. Here's hoping it sticks around this time.
