FOOD TRUCKS—More than 40 of Washington's finest food trucks will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo tomorrow at RFK Stadium with the Trucko de Mayo resurrection of DC's food truck festival, Curbside Cookoff. From noon through 9 p.m., the trucks will be out in full force providing everything from lobster rolls to cupcakes. Admission is free and there's also live music, two bars and a sweepstakes to win free lunch from 45 of DC's food trucks. [EaterWire]
LOGAN CIRCLE—In order to prove the point that champagne is delicious pretty much all the time and with anything, Cork Market & Tasting Room is offering a monthly fried chicken and champagne night between 6 and 8 p.m. The first such night is this Sunday in their upstairs dining room. The cost is $75 for two people, which includes chicken, seasonal sides and two glasses of sparkling. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance, so call them at 202-265-2674 pretty much right now. CAPITOL HILL—After experimenting with it a little in recent months, six-year-old Sonoma debuts a regular brunch service this Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. On the menu, they'll have things like a duck hash, an Italian take on French toast, house-made doughnuts filled with your pick of Boston cream or apple cider, burgers, pizza and their charcuterie. Also, naturally, Bloody Marys and sparkling. [EaterWire]
