ALEXANDRIA—The Reliable Source has it that the man who will forever be known as AC Slater but who is actually named Mario Lopez dined at Restaurant Eve on Saturday night. Reportedly, the former Saved by the Bell star "rolled in with five friends, shared the steak, rockfish, pork belly rillette and sashimi, among other dishes." [WaPo]

U STREET—Prince of Petworth has pictures of the entire revamped menu over at the Florida Avenue Grill, one of Washington's greasy spoon staples. There's breakfast all day and "soulfully prepared home-style dinners" that are $20 from Tuesday through Friday. [PoP]

AWARDS SEASON—The Post's Tim Carman reports that Jeff Black was the winner of the chicken fried steak showdown he hosted over the weekend at Pearl Dive Oyster Palace. His preparation: a "center-cut rib-eye, thick and juicy and cooked just past medium-rare." The prize: an old shoe. Money raised: $170,000. [WaPo]
