In what might be filed as one of the strangest cases of "food not bombs," the Army celebrated its 237th birthday today with a cupcake-shooting tank decorated with 5,000 cupcakes donated by Georgetown Cupcake. Wired was on the scene to capture the following video in which the external air compressor-equipped tank sends the treats flying "20 feet into the air" in the Pentagon courtyard. Also, the Georgetown Cupcake ladies just so happen to have been filming their reality show DC Cupcakes, so there will surely be more cupcake aerial footage available when the episode airs, if you can bear it.
