Yes, President Barack Obama Finally Had Lunch at Lincoln

This has been a long time coming, but Barack Obamanoted fan of fellow American President Abraham Lincoln — had lunch today at Lincoln restaurant downtown. The Associated Press reports that Obama shared lunch with four winners of his "Lunch With Barack" campaign fundraiser, for which he has previously taken guests to Boundary Road, Scion, and Liberty Tavern.

Just as with his lunch trip earlier this week to Kenny's BBQ Smokehouse, Obama reportedly spent some time chatting about Father's Day — this time he talked about how Michelle Obama chided him for complaining about how people make a bigger fuss out of Mother's Day, pointing out to him that "every day is Father's Day."

Of course, it really was just a matter of time before the slightly-more-than-a-year-old Lincoln made the list of Obama endorsed-restaurants. As The Hill's Amie Parnes notes, "As a fan of Lincoln, I'm sure Obama will appreciate the floor at Lincoln, which is made up of pennies." And should Obama remain in office for a second term, he should have his pick of a few more presidentially themed restaurants — Lincoln's owner has a Teddy Roosevelt-themed restaurant in the works, plus he's considering concepts for JFK and Thomas Jefferson.
