New, 2 comments

CHEVY CHASE—Daisuke Utagawa and beer expert Jocelyn Cambier are teaming up over at Sushiko's Chevy Chase location tomorrow evening as it hosts its first-ever beer pairing dinner. For $85, they'll be pairing the likes of honey and soy roasted duck and nigiri sushi with six courses of craft beer from around the world. For reservations, call 301-961-1644. [EaterWire]

BOOZE NEWS—Celebration of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival begins today at Ping Pong Dim Sum, which obviously means it's time to drink beer out of boats, right? The restaurant is offering guests who order a "boat" —otherwise known as a bucket—of six or 10 Tsingtao beers get a second boat for free. The Chinatown location is also hosting rubber ducky races tonight from 5-7 with the promise of "fabulous prizes." [EaterWire]

MOUNT PLEASANTThe blinds are down and the door is locked at Radius in Mount Pleasant, but apparently not for good. Prince of Petworth stops by the neighborhood pizzeria and discovers a sign on the window announcing that they're closed for vacation until July 2 and apologize for the inconvenience. Phew. [PoP]
