The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington announced the winners of the 2012 Rammy Awards last night, the annual gala honoring local chefs, restaurateurs and other industry professionals. Big winners of the night included Jeff and Barbara Black's restaurant group, with BlackSalt and Black Jack taking awards in addition to the restaurateurs themselves. Vikram Sunderam of Rasika was named chef of the year, while the Mitsitam Native Foods Café at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian notched a surprise win for casual restaurant of the year.
