French bakery chain Paul wasn't messing around when it made a home base out of DC last May with the opening of its US flagship in Penn Quarter. The bakery moved onto Georgetown in November and then opened a third location on Connecticut Avenue just this week. And now Paul is officially headed to Foggy Bottom, with no intention of stopping its DC-area expansion.
Prince of Petworth floated a rumor this morning that Paul was moving into Foggy Bottom's 2000 Penn complex, and a rep confirms to Eater that, yes, this will indeed become Paul's fourth DC location. The plan is to open up in the 20th Street-facing space sometime this fall — making it four locations in a year-and-a-half — and then expand outside of DC proper in 2013.
