Citronelle Temporarily Closing 'Due to Water Damage'

R. Lopez

Michel Richard is apparently being forced to temporarily close down his four-star restaurant Citronelle due to water damage. Indeed, the entire Latham Hotel is shutting down for the foreseeable future, according to Tom Sietsema who tweeted:

BREAKING: @CitronelleDC & the Laytham Hotel are closing today due to water damage. Spokeswoman: "It may be months" to complete improvements."

Nobody answered the phone at pretty much every phone number associated with the restaurant and hotel, but Eater reached an employee in sales who explained that everyone was in a meeting: "Give it one moment because we're currently talking to our employees." Probably about their job situation. More information as it's available.
