Belgian Restaurant Week; Bar Pilar's Late-Night Menu

BELGIAN RESTAURANT WEEKBelgian Restaurant Week is well underway in DC bringing with it all sorts of celebrations of Belgian culture and especially its food. Tonight marks a Bavik beer dinner at Et Voila, while tomorrow is half-priced mussels at any participating restaurant and Saturday is the Mussel Throwdown at Capitol Yards Park. Participating restaurants include Belga Café, Brasserie Beck, Et Voila, Granville Moore's, Marcel's and more. [EaterWire]

U STREET—After about a week or so of testing, Bar Pilar is ready to unleash its late-night menu upon the unsuspecting members of the public. The late-night menu will be available Fridays and Saturdays from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m., offering all of its downstairs bar menu on the second floor. Think dishes like lard fried buttermilk chicken and slow roasted suckling pig. [EaterWire]

RESTAURANT WEEK 2012—Speaking of Restaurant Week, the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington has revealed the dates for this summer's edition of Restaurant Week. It'll be held August 13-August 19 so go forth and snap up the primo reservations. [EaterWire]
