We learned last month that Vidalia/Bistro Bis restaurateur Jeffrey Buben was taking over the Potenza space downtown with a "two concepts under one roof" plan. Now Tom Sietsema has the scoop that Buben's newest concepts will be named Woodward Table and Woodward Takeout Food — both apparently named for the Woodward building in which they're to be housed.
Bistro Bis chef Joe Harran will be in charge of the menu, which Sietsema writes "will celebrate iconic regional cooking — brisket, turtle soup, lobster with spinach souffle — while the take-out area, open for breakfast and lunch, will serve biscuit sandwiches, deviled ham, swordfish clubs and blue plate specials." And what will happen to that takeout space after lunch? Oh, just transform into a space for pop-ups, tastings and the like. The target opening is November.
