The mammoth Brixton debuted on U Street with brunch service on Sunday with three highly stylized levels, including a main level dining roof, a rooftop deck, and a second-story "lodge" outfitted with fireplaces and antler chandeliers. There are bars on all three levels and a bar menu available on the first two floors, plus an extended dinner menu available in the dining room.
Much like many of the design touches here and there, the menu is full of nods to Britain — Scotch duck eggs, beef Wellington and Kerala curry tiffin among the options on the main menu. Naturally, the bar menu is a little smaller, but with many of the same items, including fish and chips and a Brixton burger that comes loaded with shallot marrow jam on a challah bun. Brunch includes breakfast-y items such as pastrami salmon eggs Benedict, plus the traditional Ploughman's Lunch of charcuterie and cheese.
