Opening Report

izakaya-seki-thrillist-150.jpgJust as planned, the long-watched Izakaya Seki opened to the public last night with a menu full of Japanese dishes that go well beyond sushi and sashimi: steamed monkfish liver, grilled pork trotter, noodles, tempura, wasabi chicken tenders and more. Thrillist reported last week that chef/owner Hiroshi Seki moved to DC from the Midwest "lest he be forced to water down his country's flavors for a less adventurous clientele." [Facebook, Thrillist]
